Unleash potential with a simple question: "Will you...?"

You have the ability to create real change in your world by asking a simple question: "Will you...?" When you put the ball in someone else's court and give them the opportunity to act, you open up the possibility for all sorts of interesting things to happen. Here's how to use this technique to create a life of influence.

The Power of "Will you...?"

When you ask someone "will you," you are putting the ball in their court. You are giving them the opportunity to take action and be a part of something. This simple question is incredibly powerful because it allows you to tap into someone's inner motivations and desires.

For example, let's say that you're trying to get your boss to invest in some new software for your team. You could go about this in a few different ways. You could make your case and try to convince them that it's a good investment. Or, you could ask them "will you invest in this new software so that we can increase our productivity?"

The second option is much more likely to be successful because it puts the focus on the boss's needs and not on your own. When you make it about them, they are much more likely to be receptive to what you're saying.

How to Use "Will you...?" In Your Life

Now that we've seen how powerful this question can be, let's look at some specific ways that you can use it in your own life.

If you're trying to get a friend or family member to do something, start by asking them "will you." For example, if you're trying to get your kids to eat their veggies, try asking them "will you eat your veggies so that you can grow up big and strong?" If you're trying to get your spouse to help with the dishes, try asking them "will you help me with the dishes so that I can have some free time tonight?"

In each of these cases, notice how we've framed the request in terms of what's in it for the other person. When you make it about them, they are much more likely than usual open up and respond positively.

How Asking “will you..” Questions Fuel Your Genius Zone

Asking the right types of questions is one of the keys to tapping into your Genius Zone. Whether you are seeking to learn something new, connect with others, or influence the world around you, asking the right "will you.." questions can help you to more fully access your Inner Genius.

When you learn to ask these types of questions, you connect more deeply with your inner wisdom and intuition. In essence, then, asking "will you.." questions is one of the best ways to tap into your Genius Zone – that magical place where creativity thrives, inspiration abounds, and brilliant ideas seem to come effortlessly. When to use "Will You" versus "Can You" Questions

When you are trying to connect with someone and learn something new, there are many different ways in which you can approach the situation. One of the most common is through the use of questions. However, it can be difficult to determine which type of question will be most effective. There are two main options: a "will you" question and a "can you" question.

A "will you" question is generally used when you want to influence or connect with someone in an attempt to learn more about them or learn a specific skill from them. This type of question typically requires action or a commitment from the other person, and often involves helping or supporting them in some way. A good example would be, "Will you teach me how to code?" By using this creative style of questioning, we can learn more about ourselves and others, thereby allowing us to effectively communicate and influence those around us. After all, everyone has their own genius inside; we just need to learn how to find it!

A "can you" question, on the other hand, is used when you want to learn from someone but are not necessarily looking for immediate action or support from them. This type of question taps into their Inner Genius and invites them to enter their "Genius Zone", where they have access to all of their innate knowledge and skills. It might sound like, "Can you share your wisdom with me?"

Both types of questions are valuable tools for connecting with others and learning new things, and choosing the right one comes down to understanding your own needs and goals as well as those of the person being asked. Whether it's tapping into your Inner Genius or connecting with someone else's, with just a little bit of practice, there is no limit to what you can learn!
