Step 1 - Acknowledge It

The first step is to simply acknowledge that you're experiencing negativity. Don't try to push it away or ignore it. That will only make it worse. Instead, take a deep breath and give yourself permission to feel whatever it is you're feeling. Once you've acknowledged the negativity, you can start to deal with it. 

Step 2 - Analyze It

The next step is to analyze the negativity so you can understand where it's coming from. Ask yourself why you're feeling this way. Is there a specific reason? If so, what is it? Once you've identified the root cause of the negativity, you can start to address it. 

Step 3 - Address It

Once you know where the negativity is coming from, you can start to address it. If it's something that's within your control, like a difficult client or a problem at work, take action to fix it. If it's something outside of your control, like bad traffic or weather, try to find a way to make the best of it. Maybe listen to an audiobook or listen to your favorite music while you're stuck in traffic. 

Step 4 - Advance

Don't let negativity drag you down. Once you've acknowledged, analyzed, and addressed the negativity, it's time to advance – that means moving on. Don't dwell on it or allow it to take up too much space in your mind. Acknowledge that it happened and then let it go.
